There are some truly delightful gems hiding out among this 200+ assortment.

Regarding the JS plugins, some are not the world's finest, but don't be put off by this. Some of today's newest plugins are beginning to suffer from visual overkill, and it can be refreshing to get away from all the marketing insanity and use a ReaPlug that has all the features I could ever want and, meanwhile, not give me a headache or partial blindness from looking at it. I not only agree wholeheartedly but want to add that over the last year or so of using them the GUIs of these plugins have appealed to me more and more. Check anyone from ComputerMusic/MusicRadar to Sound On Sound magazines for proof.

Various of the ReaPlugs are routinely mentioned as all-time best plugins, free or otherwise. But, to be fair, a lot of people say that they love them and use them all the time.

I actually wish I had the option to not install them). Some also seem to be broken in various ways and some can cause REAPER performance problems (there's a recent thread about that, but again tbh, that's never happened to me (maybe because I hardly ever or better said never use them, just tried some of them briefly). Some are buggy, like an expander that pushes the volume to infinite when soft knee is engaged and that hasn't been fixed for quite some time and will probably never be. OTOH, I have no love for JS plugs (I only like the UI, not kidding). The only plug that sucks badly is that algo verb.

Some are decent, like ReaTune and ReaPitch. ReaEq is your Q10 (they're really very similar feature and sound wise - not good for boosting, but excellent for surgical stuff) and ReaComp is simply one of the best clean comps out there (free or commercial), ReaGate is great (it's really a pity that it doesn't have a proper expander mode), ReaDelay is still my go-to Delay, ReaVerb is also great etc. I just wanted to ask your opinion of how you think the ReaPlugs and JS effects stack up when compared to the effects that come stock with other DAW's or those created by well know plugin developers (Waves, UAD etc etc) I will never go back to another audio workstation and Im happy to say that. First let me say I love Reaper, its amazing and its uses are almost limitless.
